We had an amazing stay at Villa Loukia with our family.
The villa and grounds were beautifully kept, and the location was peaceful. The beach at Lourdas (a short drive by car) was lovely, and we also enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear waters at Agios Thomas Beach.We would recommend The Olive Lounge for dinner (on the terrace), excellent food and stunning views. Thank you Danny and Loukia.

A beautiful, spacious villa that worked perfectly for two families. Pool was great as deeper than it looks but still shallow end for kids. Hosts were lovely and attentive and villa had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!Some lovely local restaurants in the area and lovely beach bay with bar just down the road. Do recommend you have a car as not much within walking distance.

We had a very good stay!
Stayed here with 6 women and it was perfect, everyone had their own bathroom. Also tons of mirrors! We loved having breakfast by the pool or on the balcony upstairs. It honestly felt too big of a house for us at times. The kitchen had everything we needed plus theres a mini grocery store down the street. Only wish the pool was heated but we did come in sept. The views from the villa are also amazing. We rented a car but also took taxis to Argostoli for drinks and dancing. Easy to book and cost €30. Danny was helpful and responded quickly to my questions.

Great stay at a lovely, spacious villa
We had a brilliant week with friends and toddlers at this lovely, spacious villa. Had everything we needed and the kids absolutely loved having a kids pool in addition to the main pool. Danny was a very helpful and quick to respond. Thanks so much for such a great stay!
Amazing Holiday!
This is the nicest villa we have stayed in the photos do not do any justice. It had everything you could possibly need and was immaculate. Daily gardener who also cleaned the pool and Malcolm came to check the pool during the week. The location is perfect with good views. Beach, shop, restaurant and bins all in walking distance. The island is beautiful and locals are friendly. A group of 9, we hired cars, visited many places, the caves, a private boat trip on Queen Bee from Agostoli, saw the turtles and a trip to Mount Anios. We are definitely going to book to stay again and very grateful to Danny for allowing us to stay in such a wonderful home.
Such a wonderful Villa -perfect for a week away with children and grandchildren – more and more time spent here in preference to other things. And the beach below was our unanimous favourite to those around. We loved using the BBQ and often preferred to stay in and to eat Greek style putting all the food and drinks in the middle of the table and everyone helping themselves. Also much easier for the kids that way and they could later do other things letting the grownups continue to relax with their meal. Such a setting! We have all had a lovely time!
Villa Loukia was everything we could have wanted and more; beautiful and spacious with all your needs catered for. Very conveniently located with plenty of nearby beaches when you’re bored of the pool. All three generations loved our time here. First time in Kefalonia definitely not our last, can’t wait to return to Villa Loukia!
The villa is spectacular. It’s hard for the photos to capture the grandeur. The rooms were bright, airy, and cool. The bedrooms were comfy — the mattresses were amazing. The kitchen was fully equipped — we cooked meals for our large family and enjoyed using the BBQ. It exceeded expectations. Communication was easy, helpful, and quick. Can’t recommend it highly enough — thank you for a wonderful stay!
This was our first holiday abroad with our 6-month-old, and it couldn’t have been better. The travel cot was set up for our arrival and was sturdy and clean. The baby pool was perfect for getting our baby used to the water — the inflatables were a lovely surprise! Having baby-friendly amenities like a high chair, plus plenty of space for the grandparents, meant we could truly relax. We enjoyed lots of BBQs and drinks around the pool. We made such special memories that we will cherish forever. Can’t thank you enough!

Welcome to Villa Loukia — My Family’s Island Dream
The story of Villa Loukia began back in 2003, when my mother Audrey and step-father Danny first set foot on the breathtaking island of Kefalonia. Like so many before them, they were instantly swept away by its natural beauty, peaceful rhythm, and warm-hearted people. It wasn’t long before they made the life-changing decision to put down roots in the small, tranquil village of Karavados, and begin building their very own slice of paradise.
With a little persuasion (okay, maybe a lot!), Audrey convinced her brother Malcolm to leave the UK and help bring her dream to life. What was meant to be a modest holiday home gradually grew — through two years of hard work, passion, and a fair few challenges — into a stunning 4,000 sq. ft villa filled with character, soul, and set within the most stunning location.
More than 20 years later, Malcolm still calls Kefalonia home and over the years he has continued to create beautiful homes across the island. But Villa Loukia will always be the first and remains close to his heart — he still helps maintain the property (nobody knows it like he does!) and cleans the pool twice a week. It is also lovingly cared for by the incredible Eleni and Christos, who tend to the home and its gardens all year round with the same devotion they do their own.
Villa Loukia has always been more than just a house — it’s our family sanctuary. Today, my husband Dom and I, together with Danny, are proud to carry the torch of this remarkable place, welcoming guests from around the world to experience the same joy, peace, and Greek island magic that first captured my mother’s and Danny’s hearts.
Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a base to explore Kefalonia’s hidden treasures, Villa Loukia is a place where memories are made, stories are shared, and guests become part of the family.
